ABOUT THE BAND

Hailed as “the next big thing” and “ones to watch” by Irish rock legends Aslan, ‘HAWKE THE BAND’ are a fresh new band formed behind the Guinness factory in Dublin’s south inner city.

Combining their anthemic rock influences (Coldplay/The Verve) with contemporary sounds, lead singers Richard Power & Eoghan Mac Mahon, guitarist Max Steffens, and drummer Darragh McCarthy offer a hopeful, anthemic flavour of pop/rock.

After recording their first home demos in Richard’s bedroom, they sent the tracks to two London based producers and within days were recording their first releases in the famed Abbey road & Metropolis studios in London, and have remained there since.

ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR

After working with high-level Promotions companies such as Live Nation, MPI, Scruff of The Neck, and Close up, the band started to make a name for themselves across the live scene with sellout headlines in Whelan’s Dublin, along with supports with the likes of Aslan, Imelda May, and Colony house. After supporting Imelda May in Trim Castle in late 2022, she asked them to perform their latest single Miracles as part of her show, ‘Christmas in Ireland with Imelda and Friends’ on Sky Arts alongside Glen Hansard, John Sheahan of The Dubliner, Jack L., and Loah.

After setting a heavy release plan for 2023, prepared with they have been approached by numerous management agencies and label representatives and are now in closing stages with signing with an independent Irish Label, along with securing high-level management. Their upcoming singles and EP is set to launch them into the wider Irish, UK, and European audiences, with their upcoming single ‘Proposal’ hotly tipped to be one of the biggest songs of the Summer this year.
